PEO Complaints & Discipline Process

On November 23, 2006, the OSPE Board of Directors approved the creation of a task force to examine PEO’s complaints and discipline processes. The decision to create the task force was taken in response to increased number of inquiries from professional engineers about what to do when a complaint is filed against them.

The mandate of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Complaints and Discipline Process Task Force (CDPTF) is to make suggestions to the Board of Directors regarding:

1. PEO’s existing complaints and discipline processes; and,

2. A mechanism or process by which the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers can assist individual members in the process when a complaint is lodged against them.

Updates

It is the Task Force’s intention to develop a brochure that will assist practitioners confronted with a complaint.
