Bridging Program: Skills and Jobs in Ontario’s Environment Sector

This program is an overview for Internationally Educated Graduates in Engineering, Engineering Technology and Geoscience.
With this program, you will gain the needed skills to succeed within Ontario’s Environment Sector.


In this 48-hour program, participants focus on current job trends and issues in Ontario’s environment sector and how to adapt their employment skills to pursue work in this sector. Through classroom and online resources, guest speakers, one-to-one career coaching, and hands-on practice of employment skills, participants will improve their workplace communication and employment skills, while learning about environment sector job trends, employer expectations, and self-marketing strategies.

Prerequisites

  • Be an Internationally Educated Graduate (IEGs) in Ontario, with a background in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Geoscience.
  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark of CLB 7.5 and higher.
  • Have been in Canada for five (5) years or less.
  • Have an interest in employment in the Ontario Environment Sector.
  • Be able to commit to attending afternoon classes and completing an online study.
  • Have status in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Conventional Refugee.
