Obtaining Your P.Eng. Designation
OSPE makes achieving licensure easy with comprehensive preparation support for those applying to Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). OSPE’s Journey to P.Eng. program gives Canadian and internationally trained engineers the structure, guidance, and confidence to successfully navigate the P.Eng. licensure process.
OSPE’s P. Eng. Designation Preparation program is for:
- Canadian Trained Engineering Graduates who want to apply for licensure with PEO
- Internationally Trained Engineering Graduates who want to apply for licensure with PEO
- Engineering interns (EITs) already registered with PEO but who have not yet gained their license
NPPE Prep, CBA Workshops, and Licensure Bundle sessions run throughout the year in virtual formats:
Preparatory Course for the National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE)
- Expert-led course covering ethics, professional practice, Canadian law, and liability.
- Includes exam format orientation, curated study materials, and mock tests.
Competency-Based Assessment (CBA)
- Two-part workshop (Workshop A & B).
- Teaches all 34 required competencies across 7 categories.
- Practical exercises and expert feedback.
Technical Exam Prep
- For applicants needing PEO’s technical exams (4 required: 2 Group A, 1 Group B, 1 Complementary).
- Virtual, instructor-led sessions tailored to discipline.
- Helps build the skills to ace exam sittings.

Engineering Licensure Readiness Program
Are you an International Engineering Graduate (IEG) pursuing licensure in Ontario? Navigating the Canadian licensure process can be challenging, and we are here to support you. Through OSPE’s virtual CBA and NPPE preparation program, International Engineering Graduates anywhere in Ontario can receive guided training to assist in progressing through the journey towards licensure in Ontario.
