Building Safer, More Inclusive Engineering Workplaces with White Ribbon

Engineering plays a critical role in shaping society through infrastructure, systems, and technical expertise. Creating a profession trusted by the public requires workplaces where people feel safe, respected, and empowered to do their best work. Like any profession, engineering is impacted by broader societal challenges, including gender-based violence, harassment, and exclusionary workplace cultures. OSPE believes engineers can, and should, be part of the solution.

OSPE is proud to partner with White Ribbon, an organization and global movement toward the prevention of gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and other harmful behaviours. White Ribbon works across sectors to promote a culture of consent, accountability, and bystander intervention.

Engineering Change Workshop

On March 11, 2026, OSPE and White Ribbon are delivering the Engineering Change Workshop, a training session designed specifically for engineering workplaces. Participants will expand their existing professional toolkit by building skills in supporting safe teams, complementing technical expertise and leading to stronger organizations.
