Candidate Statement

My interest in serving on OSPE’s Board of Directors stems from efforts to continue raising awareness of Ontario engineers and elevate the profile of the profession by advocating with governments and public.  Engineers are leaders, innovators and problem solvers; therefore, I believe that engineering profession is very important to the economic and social well-being of society.

I will continue my initiatives and dedication to the engineering profession as I have made a measurable impact over the past 10 years as a passionate advocate for engineering profession, new engineering graduates, and internationally trained engineers.  It is necessary to grow OSPE membership to grow the profession’s influence and serving on OSPE’s Board of Directors will allow me to increase awareness of issues affecting engineers today.  Engineering community, including professional engineers, engineering graduates and students needs to be able to bring our concerns and contributions to the public’s attention, as well as connect with decision makers to influence change.  Thank you and I look forward to serving with you.
