Individual Competency Based Assessment (CBA) Coaching

For P.Eng. applicants asking, ‘How can I improve or refine my CBA to maximize the likelihood of it being accepted by PEO or my provincial regulator?’

  • Two-hour program, typically delivered in two 1-hour virtual sessions with time between to work on your CBA
  • Review and critique your CBA draft, focusing on your challenging competencies
  • Specific and targeted feedback, and where required, in-session editing in the format preferred by your regulator
  • Clear instructions on the next steps after the first meeting, to improve and refine your CBA draft
  • Effective second meeting to review and consolidate changes, resulting in substantially enhanced CBA

*Optional, after taking OSPE’s CBA Workshop (PE302)

Requirements: Coaching participants must have a CBA draft with at least 3 of their competencies. 

 


 

                Instructor

Mark Franklin, M.Ed., P.Eng., practice leader of CareerCycles.com, a career management social enterprise, and co-founder of OneLifeTools.com. Mark teaches career management courses at the University of Toronto, and partners with OSPE to deliver engineering-focused career counselling and professional development. His career insights have appeared in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and the National Post. He also produces and hosts the Career Buzz radio show and podcast.

 

                Instructor

Albert Huynh is a senior learning designer, facilitator, and leadership educator specializing in the development of engineers. In addition to his academic background in chemical and industrial engineering, he has been a course instructor at the University of Toronto focusing on leadership and public speaking for engineers, and has delivered impactful learning solutions for thousands of learners globally in digital technology, mining, medical, manufacturing, food, utilities, and higher education industries.
