OSPE Restates Opposition to Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass

The Ontario Society of Professional Engineers is once again calling on the provincial government to defer its pending highway projects, specifically Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass. In a letter to Premier Doug Ford and Transportation Minister Caroline Mulroney, OSPE has restated our opposition to these projects.

Our letter follows a recent statement from Ontario Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk, identifying how the government has ignored guidance from qualified subject matter experts on these projects. OSPE urges the Ontario government to follow the recommendations of its engineering experts, defer these highway projects, and reinvest that money into higher-priority projects.

Ontario’s engineers work tirelessly to protect the public interest and natural environment, and their work catapults the province into economic prhttps://ospe.on.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/academy-banner-7.pngrity. As the voice of Ontario’s engineers, OSPE will continue to share our community’s expertise and advocate for the best interests of Ontarians.

For more information, see our earlier statements on Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass.
