As requested by many of our members, OSPE is pleased to announce the introduction of a 3-day AutoCAD Civil 3D Fundamentals course in January 2016 that breaks the mould when it comes to instruction on the 3D software. This course uses project-based training to walk you through the workflows required to complete real-world design projects.

“With adoption numbers over 80 percent, a large portion of industry professionals already use AutoCAD Civil 3D, but most users take advantage of as low as an estimated 10 percent of the product’s functions,” said Brock Smith, Senior Client Manager at SolidCAD solutions.

Course participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry expert David Hill, an Autodesk Certified Implementation Expert and trainer who has used the software extensively over 28 years with some of the largest civil engineering firms worldwide, including Cole Engineering and AECOM in North America. Working in a variety of municipal engineering, land development, highway and airport projects, Hill brings a wealth of knowledge on how to apply the software at all stages of a project.

While most courses are offered in the $1,200-1,500 range, members benefit from a reduced course cost of $995+ HST for three full days of interactive instruction. Click here for more information on the content breakdown of the course.

“Everyone stands to benefit from thorough knowledge of the AutoCAD Civil 3D software,” Hill said. “The ability to design a project properly in 3D from the early stages of data organization to the production of final plans and profile drawings allows industry professionals to determine project errors and interferences from the outset, increasing safety standards and reducing the loss of valuable time and resources.”

Register now for the AutoCAD Civil 3D Fundamentals course taking place on January 19, 26 and February 2, 2016.
